MYB Middle School Baseball

2026 Mosinee Middle School season registration is open!

Mosinee Youth Baseball (MYB) has partnered with Mosinee Middle School to offer a Middle School Baseball program. The 7th & 8th Grade MYB Mosinee Middle School Teams will compete against other area middle school teams!

Coaching Staff:

Teams:

• There will be 2 teams

Tentative Game Schedule:

• Here is the link to the Mosinee Middle School Baseball Calendar. This page will be updated daily.
• Game Day Format: Two games per game day—first at 4:00 PM, second around 5:30 PM.
• Away Games: Early release may be required and will be communicated in advance.

Bus Transportation:

• MYB & Mosinee Middle School will provide bus transportation for away games.
• We strongly encourage players to ride the bus together to build team chemistry and lasting friendships.
• If a player needs to leave with a parent/guardian instead of riding the bus, a checkout sheet must be signed before departure.

Practice:

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday evenings (not directly after school).
• Start Date: Week of April 6th (indoors initially).
• Outdoor Location: Field 3, 05 Rangeline Rd, Mosinee, WI 54455.
• Practices may be canceled due to availability or weather; updates will be communicated in advance.

Communication:

• Coaches will use the TeamReach app for updates.
• Parents will receive an email with the team registration code.
• The school calendar will display all game times and locations.

Grades & Sportsmanship:

• This is a Mosinee School Sport, and eligibility checks will include academic performance and behavior.
• Players must stay on top of schoolwork and represent the team positively.
• We emphasize sportsmanship and encourage players to support each other as great teammates.

Uniforms & Equipment Provided by the League:

• Two jerseys (home and away)
• Ball cap

Uniforms & Equipment Not Provided:

• Cleats
• Metal cleats are allowed at this age, but players will also need a pair of turf cleats if they pitch on a portable mound or if we play on a turf field.
• Molded cleats are allowed on all fields.
• Baseball pants: At least one pair of gray baseball pants
• Baseball Bat
• Barrel size: 2 5/8 inches
• Must be BBCOR (-3) or USA-stamped (-5). We recommend BBCOR (-3) or a USA drop (-5)
• Cups: Not mandatory, but recommended. Catchers are required to wear a cup
• Helmet: Please bring your child's helmet, as the league has a very limited supply available for sharing.
• Gloves: Each player should bring their own fielding glove. Catchers should bring their own gear if possible, but let us know if you need to borrow equipment, and we will check availability

If any of these items are a concern, please contact MYB. We can help locate affordable used equipment and never want this to discourage participation in this great sport.
